05. October 2025 : Second meeting of the Lake Tota’s Intersectoral and Interinstitutional Board in 2025

Members of the Department of Environmental Economics presented insights into the potential of participatory vision-building for collective action at the second meeting of Lake Tota’s Intersectoral and Interinstitutional Board in 2025 (online, 21 August).

The second meeting of Lake Tota’s Intersectoral and Interinstitutional Board in 2025, held online on August 21, provided a platform to present the activities of planned research projects and the results of past projects in Lake Tota. Lake Tota is the largest in Colombia and one of the most prominent in the high mountains in the Andean Region (South America). Coordinating agricultural practices that sustain desirable social-ecological outcomes, such as biodiversity conservation and equitable water provision, is the main challenge. The exchange focused on how the planned projects could contribute to overcoming this challenge, e.g. through the participatory construction of desirable agreements on environmental management based on shared visions of desirable futures.
